Our Doctors

Dr. AnneMarie Newcomer grew up in Long Island, New York. She graduated in 1984 from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Citrus County, Florida in 1982 while she was in school. After obtaining her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1988 from the University of Houston College of Optometry, she moved back to Citrus County to start her practice.

Dr. Jay Newcomer grew up in Wakeeney, Kansas. After graduating in 1984 from Kansas State University, he moved to Houston, Texas. In 1988 he received his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr.’s Jay and Anne Newcomer are members of The American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Citrus County Chamber of Commerce, St. Luke’s Eyecare Network, and Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. They have three children, Shay, Macon, and Casidy. They reside in Crystal River, Florida and enjoy boating, skiing, traveling, and especially Buccaneers Football.
