FAQ's

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
We accept most employee-based insurance in addition to Medicare, BCBS of FL, VSP, VCP, and Progress Energy Safety Program. Of course we will do what we can to help you sort out your particular circumstance.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY GLASSES?
In most cases only a day is needed. If you have an insurance that requires us to use their lab, or if we are ordering you a specialty lens, please allow more time. Because we can do the finish work in our offices, the quality control is in the hands of our trained staff.

I FOUND FRAMES I LIKED. CAN YOU ORDER THEM?
Yes, we can. There are many different styles and manufacturers of frames. Each frame can be up to 3 different sizes and colors. Although we may not have something in stock, we have extensive opportunities to order that “perfect frame” for you.

I SCRATCHED MY LENSES. CAN YOU BUFF THEM OUT?
This option is not an available solution to your problem. Therefore we offer, at no additional charge, scratch warranty with every lens. We will replace your scratched lens one time for you for a period of 12 months from date of purchase. With the many different high-tech scratch protections now offered including Scotchgard coating, with proper care and cleaning techniques your lenses will be well protected. We also, at no charge, protect your eyes with a coating called Ultra Violet rays protection. We care about the health of your eyes.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROGRESSIVE AND TRANSITION LENSES?
These are lifestyle options for your lenses. The progressive lens is a style of lens that allows you to have all three areas of vision: distance, intermediate, and reading. The transition lens is a style of lens that allows you to go from inside to outside without having to change glasses. They lighten and darken according to the level of ultraviolet rays transmitted. So you can have both these possibilities in the same glasses.

WHAT IS THE BEST MATERIAL FOR MY LENSES?
That depends on the use of your glasses. Polycarbonate lenses are thinner yet safer for children and for industrial uses. They have the advantage of strength and resilience to breakage. If you have a higher prescription, you may want to consider one of the many Hi-Index lenses on the market for clarity of vision and the well groomed of your lenses. Of course you can consult your optical technician for your personal needs.
