Adult and Pediatric Eye Examinations
We see a variety of patients at Homosassa Eye Clinic and Beverly Hills Eye Clinic. Gladly welcoming your small children, as well as your favorite grandparent, is all part of our goal to deliver outstanding service to the community. We also participate in the National InfantSee Program.
Emergency Treatment of Eye Injury
We often see minor eye injuries and eye infections. A tree branch or even the smallest eyelash, both of which can be quite painful, can cause abrasions. Our Doctors will treat the abrasion and remove any residual debris left in the eye from the trauma. They will also check for and treat infection.
Glaucoma Diagnosis and Treatment
Glaucoma is a visually devastating disease if left untreated. Our Doctors will diagnosis and treat the disease, as well as educate patients on the glaucomatous process. On site, we have fundus cameras to photograph and document the appearance of the optic nerve. We can also perform specialized visual field tests to detect loss of peripheral vision. Our doctors continually attend glaucoma seminars to keep informed of the latest advancements.
Diabetic Eye Examinations
Our doctors can detect diabetic retinopathy, a condition occurring from poor control of blood glucose levels, by dilating the eyes. It is important for diabetic patients to have their retina’s evaluated annually. Our doctors work closely with area retinal specialists to offer superior co-management services.
Macular Degeneration Diagnosis and Treatment
There are two kinds of macular degeneration: wet and dry. The macula is the portion of the retina responsible for clear, sharp, central vision. Our doctors can diagnose and educate you on management of this disease.
Treatment of Eye Infections and Inflammations
The eyes are delicate organs of the body, and like other delicate organs, can be afflicted with infection and inflammation. Our Doctors will detect and treat viral and bacterial infections, as well as inflammations caused by other systemic disorders.
Fitting of Standard, Disposable, Frequent Replacement, Astigmatic (toric), Soft, Rigid Gas Permeable, and Bifocal Contact Lenses
When glasses just won’t do, patients often turn to their Optometrists for other options. We are contact lens specialists and have a wide variety of contact lens options. We have the latest technology in corneal mapping at our offices. Whether you are looking for a standard single vision lens, or a more complex optics system in a bifocal contact lens, our Doctors will work with you to find the perfect fit.
Cataract Evaluations
Our doctors will evaluate for cataracts and recommend the proper treatment for each individual patient. If cataract surgery is right for you, our doctors will educate you on the latest selection of intraocular lenses available. We will also do pre-operative and post-operative visits right in our offices.
Laser/LASIK Evaluations
There are different types of refractive surgery: LASIK (laser in situ keratomileusis), RK (radial keratotomy), PRK (photorefractive keratectomy), and CLR (clear lens replacement). If you are interested in refractive surgery, our Doctors will evaluate and recommend the best possible treatment for each individual patient. We can also do your pre-operative and post-operative visits right in our offices.
Driver’s License Exams
The DMV will occasionally require an eye examination for a driver’s license renewal. If this should happen to you, our staff will gladly schedule an appointment for the required tests and paperwork.
Sports Vision Evaluations
If you have an active lifestyle, you may need something special to protect your eyes. Our doctors will recommend the proper eyewear to keep your vision clear and your eyes safe.
